Global Moving offers a full cleaning service, both in the home you left behind as in your new residence. We know that once packaging and collection of goods has been completed, most of our clients have to leave the house clean to receive the next family.

We offer an excellent and safe service of storage of goods. Our facilities have unparalleled characteristics: an isothermal construction, with ideal temperature and humidity levels for the safe storage of your goods. These are listed and placed in sealed personalised containers. We have a security system with CCTV with HD cameras 24h / 7d and access controlled by biometrics.

INSURANCE

We advise our clients to take out insurance of goods to be transported. We recommend that the values are comparable with the real value of the items and that the cost is indicated at arrival. We also recommend that the values to be insured are in line with the actual value thereof, to be stated at the destination.

We work with the best international insurance companies, looking for a policy best suited to your transport or international move. Nevertheless, we recommend you consult with other insurers, to compare and choose the best option for you.

When your move is done by sea you are obliged to take insurance due to maritime laws.An example: if the ship carrying your goods suffers a collision or there is a fire onboard, maritime laws state that the cost of salvage shall be paid for each ship container. If you insure your goods, these will be covered against this risk.

Accidents happen and no one can guarantee that a transport van will not have an accident; a boat is not the victim of a storm; that tropical heat does not cause damage during transport or an article falls on the floor and is damaged.

So that all your goods reach their final destination in perfect condition Global Moving uses the best packaging materials and the most appropriate for each type of item, coupled with specialists in the art of packaging and international moves.

Reinforced cardboard boxes of different sizes and suitable for different types of items such as crockery, books, clothes, chairs, lampshades and pictures.
Wardrobes of reinforced cardboard for suits and dresses.
Silk paper for fragile porcelain and other very delicate items.
Corrugated cardboard to protect the surface of furniture.
Bubble wrap.
Cardboard corners for enhanced protection of the corners of furniture.
Special PVC tape to withstand different types of weather.

Check List

5 TO 6 WEEKS BEFORE THE MOVE

Make sure your passport, citizen card, ID and visa are valid
Check if permits are required in your new country of residence (e.g. residence permit, permit for pets, arms license, etc.)
Check which vaccinations are required at your new destination.
Make sure you have all documentation for the trip, including tickets.
Keep all your official documents in one place (e.g. birth or marriage certificates, ID, citizen card, passport, vaccination card, driving license, etc ..)
Check if your driving license is valid in the destination country.
Ask your car insurance company for your personal insurance history.
Cancel all subscriptions to newspapers, magazines or gyms.
Notify your child/children’s school.
Clean your attic, pantry and garden.
Get your coats, clothes, curtains, sofas, blankets etc. dry cleaned.
Check all your items and appliances that need to be repaired and have them fixed: watches, appliances, clothing, shoes, etc.
Schedule all necessary medical appointments and ask for a year worth of prescriptions.
Sort out shipping licenses.
Sell your car.

3 TO 4 WEEKS BEFORE THE MOVE

Make a survey of the value of goods you want to insure and complete the application form for a Global International Relocation insurance.
Sell or give to charity all the items you are leaving behind.
Give your friends and family your contacts, including your new address.
Cancel all utility bills.
Check your leasing, credits or other legal contract agreements.
Try to finish off food and drinks left in your home. Buy only the essentials for the remaining days before your move.
Confirm with Global Moving the exact moving date.
Advise of change of address at: your bank, tax office, doctor and other relevant entities.
Request all your diplomas, certificates and other important documents: school, doctors, veterinarians, etc.

2 WEEKS BEFORE THE MOVE

Clean your garden from tools, bicycles, etc.
Ask a family member/friend or hire a babysitter who can take care of your children and pets during the date of moving.
Take all your possessions from work.
If you have lent any books, CDs or other goods ask for them back.
Empty the fuel tank of motorcycles or cars that will be transported to your new destination.
Offer or sell plants and perishable goods that you won’t need.

1 WEEK BEFORE THE MOVE

Close bank accounts or let your bank know of your move.
Make sure your bank can transfer your funds to your new bank.
Buy traveller’s cheques.
Buy necessary medication for your journey including travel sickness pills.
Organize transportation to the airport.
Defrost and clean refrigerator and freezer.
Hire a team to clean the house after packing is done.
Send all completed and signed documents to Global Moving.

1 TO 2 DAYS BEFORE DE MOVE

Put aside personal items that must travel with you, e.g. keys, documents, passport, tickets, money, clothes, medication, maps, games, books, etc.
Confirm ticket bookings.
Disconnect, clean and dry electrical appliances you want to take to your new destination.
Organise furniture and follow the schedule set by Global Moving.
Ask your neighbours or building administration for an extra parking space for the day of the move.
On the day of the move just relax! Global Moving will do the work for you ...

Go through each room of the house to make sure you haven’t left anything behind.
